General Insurance Consultancy Senior Actuarial Manager
Hybrid Role – Remote position but access to Head Office in Dublin, Ireland is needed

Recognized Actuarial Qualification, plus relevant qualification (Manager Level), or recently qualified/nearly qualified (NQ) with relevant pre-qualification experience

Experience in reserving or reporting disciplines is preferable but experience in other disciplines such as Pricing, Underwriting or Risk Management may also be considered

Life Insurance, Consultancy & other Financial Services
Experience working in a consulting firm, Life Insurance firm, or other financial services organisation
Good understanding of Solvency II framework and/or IFRS17
The ability to communicate complex concepts to audiences from a variety of backgrounds
Strong interpersonal & team skills
Self-starter attitude and the ability to work within ambiguity; flexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues and strong analytical skills
Strong MS Office knowledge, experience with actuarial software is an advantage
Qualified Actuary (FIA or equivalent) or experience working in this role
Non-Life Insurance background, with extensive reserving experience
Strong knowledge of London MArket or Commercial Lines classes with significant experience in a reserving or mixed role at an insurance firm or consultancy
Ability to write client deliverables/reports in a clear, concise and appropriate style
Experience presenting results, including communicating key uncertainties to senior colleagues or clients
Ability to see the “big picture”, leveraging the resources of related practices to address clients’ business challenges
Availability to travel to our UK offices or client site on an as needed basis
Have current or recent UK Personal Lines experience
Have the ability, desire, foresight and focus to bring together not only the reserving function but also Underwriting, Pricing, Data Analytics and any other core area of the organisation that will assist in maintaining our client’s commercial edge, while working to create a more competitive edge in our client’s target markets
